First of all COBOL & FORTRAN languages were used COBOL
was used for commercial purposes and FORTRAN for scientific and engineering purposes.
Then an International comittee developed the language ALGOL 60 in 1960.But it was too
abstract and too general. Then in 1963 CPL language was developed in cambridge university,
but it was hard to learn and difficult to implement. Then in 1967 BCPL was developed by
Martin richards .
Then B was also side by side developed by Ken thompson at T and T's Bell
labs in 1970.
B and BCPL were both typeless languages and were very specific .
In 1972
Dennis Ritchie developed one man language also known as middle level language C which was
general purpose.
C#,D,GO,JAVA,JAVA SCRIPT,LIMBO,LPC,PERL,PHP,PYTHON,UNIX'S C Shell were
further derived using C.Informal specification contained in a book by Dennis Ritchie and
Brian Kerrighan"K&R"C.In 1989 American national standards institute published a standard
for C called ASI C or C89.In 1990 International organisation for standardization
